The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alfonso closes the distance looking to clinch
and Stinson counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Nice defenses there by Alfonso.
Horrible takedown by Alfonso or perhaps it was just good defense by Stinson which made him look bad.
Alfonso tries to close the distance and clinch but Stinson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Stinson counters with a one-two to the body.

Alfonso tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stinson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A head kick from Stinson lands but Alfonso takes it in his stride.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Stinson! Alfonso is out on his feet! Stinson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Alfonso is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Alfonso is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
