Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunter Streicher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Chase might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bobcaygeon. Streicher is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Wait And Bleed. Johnny Chase has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Chase! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gunter Streicher! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chase keeps Streicher at a distance using the push kick. Chase looks for the body kick but Streicher saw that one coming. Chase waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Streicher. Chase throws a front kick aimed at Streicher's knee but Streicher avoids it well. Streicher ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Streicher throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chase. Chase uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Streicher thows a leg kick but Chase checks it and Chase counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Streicher is lucky that one didn't land flush. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chase just misses with a punch to the body.

Streicher is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Good standup being displayed there by Chase as he connects with a hook. Chase fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Streicher avoids the head kick by Chase.
Streicher lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chase's sensitive parts. Streicher swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chase throws a solid leg kick but Streicher takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Chase. Streicher lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Chase takes a swing at Streicher's ribcage but misses. Streicher blocks a low kick nicely. A low kick from Streicher is predictable there letting Chase counter with a right hand. Chase with a nice cross. Chase fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Streicher manages to avoid it. Gunter Streicher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Streicher defending well as Chase loads up on a big left hand. Streicher throws a leg kick but Chase moved away. Streicher digs a good hook to Chase's body.
Streicher ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Chase shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Streicher sprawls well. Streicher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chase gets slowly back to his feet. Streicher throws a leg kick that is checked and Chase counters with a head kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Chase lands with an uppercut that bounces Streicher off the cage and back into range. Chase throws a leg kick but Streicher sees it coming and moves out of range. Chase takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Streicher throws a lazy right hand but Chase sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Streicher wants to clinch and Chase decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Streicher's guard. Chase wants to control from the top but Streicher keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chase passes Streicher's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Chase missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Streicher tries to roll over but Chase keeps him under control. Chase seems to be working for a kimura but Streicher defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chase seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Streicher does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Chase looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Chase passes the guard and advances to mount! Chase trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Streicher is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Chase tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Streicher is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chase looking for a guillotine from mount but Streicher is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Chase dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Streicher moves into range and connects with a jab. Streicher displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chase. Chase with a jab. Chase comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Streicher works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Johnny Chase is winning the standup battle so far. Chase drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Chase tries to free his leg and advance position but Streicher is retaining full guard. Streicher is looking to sweep but instead, Chase has passed into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Chase takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Streicher is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chase's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chase's back! Chase tries to roll but Streicher sticks to his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Streicher is trying to stick to Chase's back but Chase is turning into Streicher. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Streicher's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Chase. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Chase loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Chase pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Streicher is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johnny Chase. Chase tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Chase uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Streicher. Streicher throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Chase throws a looping overhand right but Streicher ducks down to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Streicher moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Streicher on the wrong end of a nice hook. A decent looking cross lands there for Streicher. Streicher misses with a wild body shot. Gunter Streicher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Streicher throws a nice inside leg kick. Chase tries to clinch up. Streicher lands a front kick. Chase throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Chase does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Streicher scores with a hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Streicher scores with a leg kick.

Streicher throws a sloppy head kick and Chase moves out of range easily. Streicher stuffs the takedown attempt from Chase. Chase gets slowly back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Streicher rushes Chase and presses him up against the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Streicher creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Streicher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Streicher misses the shot to the body. Streicher blocks a head kick by Chase.

Chase checks a low kick from Streicher. Chase misses with a wild body shot. Chase ducks under a wild hook from Streicher. Chase clinches. Streicher lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Streicher lands a nice uppercut. Streicher misses with a body punch.

Gunter Streicher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Streicher looks to score with a jab to the body but Chase is just out of range. Chase with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Streicher motions for Chase to come forward. Streicher throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Chase pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chase scores with a decent looking hook. Streicher throws a lazy right hand but Chase sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Streicher lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Streicher slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Chase shoots in but no luck this time. Streicher uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Chase darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Streicher takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Streicher is looking to slow Chase down with leg kicks. Streicher throws a head kick but Chase moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Streicher cracks Chase with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Streicher.
Chase ducks under a wild hook from Streicher. Streicher gets caught napping as Chase dives in and scores a takedown. Streicher manages to retain guard. Chase trying to control the position from guard on top but Streicher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chase pushes down on Streicher's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Streicher is holding on to half guard well. Streicher trying to control here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A nice leg kick lands there from Streicher. Streicher lands a jab to the nose. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Streicher throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
A head kick misses from Streicher. Streicher connects with a solid leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Streicher throws a body punch but Chase moves out of range. Both fighters circling a little - Streicher finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Chase shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Streicher is trying to defend but Chase finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Chase missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Johnny Chase overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Streicher won't allow Chase to pass to mount. Chase is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Streicher sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chase is trying to control the action in half guard but Streicher is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chase is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Streicher is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Chase is stalling here. Streicher is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Chase seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Streicher has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Streicher is looking to take a break and control but Chase is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chase is trying to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Gunter Streicher. I think Streicher has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
