The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida cracks the inside of st nkoi's front leg.
st nkoi looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

st nkoi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Machida gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Machida throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Machida feints a jab promting st nkoi to slip. Machida then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. st nkoi slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Machida closes the distance and clinches.
Machida is fighting off a takedown attempt but st nkoi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Machida to the mat. Machida regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
st nkoi stands and throws Machida's legs to the side, diving into side control.
st nkoi trying to control the position but Machida is working away.

st nkoi has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Machida doesn't defend quickly enough and st nkoi has managed to lock this one up! Can Machida escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to st nkoi on a fantastic submission victory.
