The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva drives through and clinches with JamesJones against the cage.
JamesJones is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Silva jumps into guard, dragging JamesJones to the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control JamesJones kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We're going to have a standup here because Johnny JamesJones wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Silva is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by JamesJones.

JamesJones has control of Silva's left arm, preventing Silva from doing any damage.

JamesJones manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.

JamesJones drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick JamesJones off! JamesJones jumps back into Silva's guard.
JamesJones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
JamesJones controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Silva throws his legs up looking for a submission but JamesJones uses it to pass to side control.
JamesJones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

JamesJones has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Silva is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. JamesJones yanks on the arm and Silva is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by JamesJones.
