PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Dickinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Nir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickinson comes to the cage accompanied by turisas- stand up and fight. Will Dickinson is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Dickinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Nir!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickinson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Nir stuffs the takedown attempt from Dickinson. Dickinson gets slowly back to his feet.
Dickinson shoots for a takedown but Nir saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Dickinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nir wants to sweep here but Dickinson controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dickinson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Nir wants to sweep but Dickinson has passed to side control!

Nir is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Dickinson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dickinson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dickinson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Nir manages to pass to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Will Dickinson will probably get the nod.

Nir closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Dickinson drives through with a takedown into Nir's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Dickinson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nir is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dickinson, into his guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Frank Nir.

Dickinson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Nir on his heels. He'll look to pass Nir's guard now, I'm sure.

Dickinson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dickinson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Dickinson shoots in but Nir avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No joy there for Nir, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nir throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dickinson was covering up waiting for the punch and Nir finishes the takedown easily into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nir avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Dickinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dickinson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nir is aware though and is defending well.

Dickinson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nir has picked Dickinson up and slammed him! Dickinson can't keep hold of the triangle and Nir manages to pass to side control!
Nir passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dickinson!
Nir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Nir wants to finish this one by submission but Dickinson is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Nir.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dickinson is working to get back to half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Frank Nir.
I think Dickinson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
