The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baskov shoots and misses
and Deckard counters with a three punch combo that has Baskov backing up. Baskov nods at Deckard to acknowledge the strikes.

Deckard drives through and clinches with Baskov against the cage.
Baskov prevents a body shot from Deckard.

Deckard tries to work over Baskov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Baskov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Deckard defends well.

A big strike lands for Deckard! That's really hurt Baskov and he's turned his back - Deckard keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Deckard jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

After the fight, Rick Deckard was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
