Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hector Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dos Santos is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hector Dos Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dan Wang! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dos Santos tries to clinch but Wang moves away and Wang counters with a nice leg kick. Dos Santos is breathing heavily. Wang closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dos Santos seems a little lost for a moment, as Wang dominates the positioning. Wang lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dan Wang wasn't active enough on the ground. Wang has closed the distance and engaged Dos Santos in a clinch.
Wang stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wang punching from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wang is pulling down on Dos Santos's head. It's preventing any offense from Dos Santos, at least for the moment.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Dan Wang hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Wang lands with a nice body kick. Wang shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Dos Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This has been an exciting period of action! Dos Santos is in a horrible position here. Wang smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wang controlling the pace for now. Dos Santos takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wang tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wang cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wang takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dan Wang wasn't active enough on the ground. Wang throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wang manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dos Santos on his heels. He'll look to pass Dos Santos's guard now, I'm sure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Wang dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hector Dos Santos's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wang changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dos Santos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wang scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dos Santos to see if he's OK. Wang decides to stand back up. Dos Santos steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Wang. That one must have hurt. Wang shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dos Santos is trying to defend but Wang finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wang working over Dos Santos with some ground and pound. Dos Santos looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Dan Wang has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dos Santos on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wang lands a nice short elbow. Wang is taking a breather. Dos Santos says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wang scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wang passes to full mount! Wang is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Wang lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Wang scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wang controls the position. Wang has been the more effective fighter overall so far. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Wang is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dos Santos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. A lull in the action here.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Wang was stalling too much, according to the referee. Wang tries to work over Dos Santos's front leg with a kick but Dos Santos checks it. Wang lands with a thumping leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wang throws a series of punches but Dos Santos moves out of range. A big right from Dos Santos misses. Dos Santos misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Wang showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Hector Dos Santos's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
A slapping leg kick lands for Wang.
Wang gets a clinch. Wang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wang shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dos Santos is trying to defend but Wang finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Wang not doing much here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dan Wang was stalling too much, according to the referee. Wang scores with a takedown into Dos Santos's guard. Wang passes Dos Santos's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Wang slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dan Wang has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Wang fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dos Santos sprawls well initially but Wang persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wang is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Wang has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wang takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hector Dos Santos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The referee warns Dos Santos that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wang lands with some strikes. Dos Santos is in all sorts of trouble here.

And that's the end of the fight! Dan Wang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
