Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abe Frohman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frohman comes to the cage accompanied by He's Always Abe Frohman. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Abe Frohman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Marsh!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marsh moves out of range as Frohman strikes.
Marsh misses with a hook.
Frohman tries to close the distance and clinch but Marsh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Frohman wants to clinch.
Frohman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Frohman pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Frohman clinches.

Marsh breaks the clinch.
Frohman avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Marsh misses the shot to the body.
Frohman tries to clinch but Marsh is having none of it.
Frohman tries to clinch up
and Frohman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Frohman tries a head kick but it misses.

Frohman clinches.
Marsh has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Marsh is trying to push Frohman away but Frohman has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Frohman misses with a knee to the head.
Marsh avoiding damage as Frohman throws knees to the body.
Marsh has had enough of the clinch but Frohman keeps him there for the moment.
Frohman using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Marsh wants to break the clinch but can't.
Frohman tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Frohman comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Randy Marsh has been cut.

Marsh breaks the clinch.
Frohman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marsh swings for the body but Frohman moves out of range.
Abe Frohman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Frohman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Frohman thows a body kick. Marsh tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Abe Frohman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Frohman tries to clinch
and Marsh cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Frohman misses with a head kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Frohman slips a jab from Marsh.
Frohman tries to clinch but Marsh moves out of range.

Marsh looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Marsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Frohman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Frohman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marsh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frohman swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Frohman is looking to stand up but Marsh isn't so interested in that idea.
Frohman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Frohman tries to get out of the position.
Marsh pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Frohman is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Frohman wants to stand up but Marsh is controlling him.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A jab from Marsh misses.
Frohman throws a wild body kick that Marsh sees coming a mile off.
Marsh throws out a loose jab but Frohman uses good head movement to avoid it.
Marsh circles away from the clinch attempt
and Marsh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Frohman lands a nice looking kick to the body. Marsh takes a step back to recover.
Marsh stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Frohman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Marsh takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Frohman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A swing and a miss from Marsh.
Frohman tries to clinch up but Marsh circles away and keeps his distance.
Frohman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marsh swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Marsh takes a swing at Frohman's ribcage but misses.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Frohman looks to clinch
and Marsh counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Marsh works Frohman's body with a nice hook.

Marsh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Marsh tries to advance to mount but Frohman denies him.
Frohman tries to escape but Marsh is in control.
Marsh moves into full mount!
Frohman is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Marsh trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Frohman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marsh on the ground.
Frohman is trying to stand up.
Frohman trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Marsh lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Marsh in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Frohman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Marsh with good strikes from the mount here!


It looks like Abe Frohman has been cut.
Marsh lands a big elbow.
Marsh with a couple of short strikes.


Frohman is rocked!
Frohman is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Oh Frohman is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Frohman is breathing heavily.
Marsh lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Marsh tries to control but Frohman wriggling away.

Marsh jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Frohman manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Marsh scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Frohman is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Marsh can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy Marsh!
