The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ray scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
You can see the frustration on Penn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Ray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Penn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ray's back!
Penn is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ray defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Penn has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Ray is defending well but eventually Penn manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Ray has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
