Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stu Gotts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuco Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gotts comes to the cage accompanied by Godfather Theme. Mendoza has chosen We Flexin' as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tuco Mendoza! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendoza looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Mendoza lands with an overhand left. Gotts misses with a looping left. Gotts swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Mendoza shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gotts's guard. Gotts trying to control the position.
Mendoza trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mendoza is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Mendoza throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Mendoza works a leg free and moves into half guard. Mendoza is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Mendoza sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mendoza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mendoza unloading with bombs!
