Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cid Highwind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Cameron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jake Cameron struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cid Highwind!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jake Cameron!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cameron throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Highwind keeps the fight on the outside.
Cameron misses with a double jab
and Highwind counters with a series of strikes. Cameron will be more careful next time no doubt.
Cameron tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Highwind paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jake Cameron seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cameron has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Highwind finds it's way round the side to connect with Cameron's head.
Highwind is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Highwind with a nice cross.
Highwind bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cameron's head backwards.
A punch combination from Cameron misses.
Cameron misses with a hook
and Highwind counters with a straight right hand.
Cameron throws a nice looking combination but Highwind bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Highwind throws a right and a left that Cameron avoids nicely.
Cameron rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Highwind moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Cameron looks gassed!
Cameron tries to score with a low kick but Highwind moves his leg out of the way.
Cameron takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Highwind connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Highwind connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Highwind feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Camerons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cameron is rocked!
Highwind cracks Cameron with a hook to the temple - Cameron is on wobbly legs here! Highwind swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Cameron falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Highwind wins by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Cid Highwind!
