Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kain Markko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Evans pinned against the cage. Evans gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
No luck for Markko with that takedown attempt.

Evans shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Evans is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Kain Markko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Markko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Evans counters with a shoot takedown. Markko fights it but they end up in guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kain Markko. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Evans gets to his feet - Markko follows without any prompting.
Markko misses with a takedown attempt

and Evans counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Evans decides to return to a standing position.
Markko doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Evans decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Markko's guard.

Evans gets to his feet - Markko follows without any prompting.
Markko is breathing heavily.
Markko misses with a head kick.
Evans is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Markko gets caught flat footed, as Evans shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Markko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Evans stands up from Markko's guard - Evans perhaps looking for a knockout.

Evans shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Evans was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Markko is looking to get to half guard.

Evans get's back to his feet.
Markko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Evans counters with a nice double leg into side control. Markko won't be happy with that.

Markko is trying to control Evans's posture but Evans avoids it.

Evans decides to stand back up. Evans steps back and let's Markko get back to his feet.

and Evans counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Markko is not content to let Evans control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Markko has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Evans is working away from the top position though.

Evans stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Markko to get to his feet.
Evans tries to close the distance and clinch up but Markko swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd cheers as Evans lands an impressive looking overhand right. Markko doesn't seem phased though.

Markko is rocked!
Markko clinches but Evans breaks the clinch

and Evans goes for a counter takedown and lands it with interest - it's knocked his opponent senseless! It looks like Evans 's shoulder did the damage as the two fighters hit the mat.
