The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vargtass lands with a straight right. James didn't see that one coming.
Vargtass throws a leg kick that misses.
Vargtass turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Vargtass slips a jab and a cross from James.
A nice inside leg kick there by Vargtass. That's going to slow James down.
James defending well as Vargtass loads up on a big left hand.
A slapping leg kick lands for Vargtass.
James throws a head kick that misses.
Vargtass avoids a punch combination nicely.

James on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Vargtass swings for the body but James moves out of range.
Vargtass connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Vargtass jabs James to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nice uppercut lands for Vargtass. That snapped James's head back.
Vargtass lets loose with a powerful body kick. James will feel that in the morning.
James is breathing heavily.

Vargtass throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Vargtass tries to clinch there but James circles away.
James takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Vargtass has closed the distance and engaged James in a clinch.
Vargtass lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Rand James has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
James takes a knee right on the jaw!
Vargtass lands a right hand.
Vargtass makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Vargtass lands a shoulder strike.
Vargtass pushes James back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
James takes a knee right on the jaw!
James is rocked!
Vargtass lands a hook that snaps the head of James backwards.
Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vargtass lands a big right hand that drops James! The killer instinct kicks in and Vargtass finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Vargtass!
