Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Lescott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Faye Mark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mark is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: burger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Lescott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Faye Mark!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lescott shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mark as he avoids it easily.
Mark lands with a good body shot.
That kick from Mark tenderised Lescott's leg. Lescott is trying to keep his angry face on.
Mark misses with a head kick.
Faye Mark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mark is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mark tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mark misses with the combination.
Mark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mark shoots in looking for a takedown but Lescott manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mark's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lescott throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Lescott tries to keep at a distance but Mark has taken the fight into the clinch.

Lescott blocks a body shot from Mark.

Mark manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Mark pulls Lescott in close to his closed guard and prevents Lescott from doing any damage or advancing position.

Mark is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mark wants to sweep but no luck.
Lescott is stalling in the full guard.
Lescott is pushing down on Mark's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mark is fighting to maintain full guard but Lescott has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mark really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lescott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lescott throwing shots but Mark is blocking nicely.
Mark is looking for a sweep. Lescott is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lescott with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Lescott is looking for a kimura here.

Lescott is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mark has managed to free his arm - good work.
Mark wants to get back to full guard.

Lescott is looking for submissions but instead, Mark has regained full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lescott prevents Mark from getting back to his feet.

Lescott is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lescott works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Still in half guard, Lescott seems content to control.
Lescott seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mark for as long as he can get away with.

Lescott is working for a submission of some sort.
Lescott is thwarting Mark's attempts to control the position.

Lescott tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mark knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Mark wants to get back to full guard but Lescott has mounted him!

Lescott with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Lescott prevents Mark from getting the reversal.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lescott takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Lescott will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Mark takes the fight into the clinch.

Mark escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mark tries to clinch but Lescott moves out of range.
Mark tries for a takedown but Lescott sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lescott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lescott somewhat.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mark.
Mark swinging wildly here.
Lescott misses with a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lescott tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mark swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lescott misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Mark is looking to clinch but Lescott is avoiding it.

Mark shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lescott's guard.
Lescott pulls Mark in to control the position.

Lescott had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mark defends it easily.
Mark trying to control the position from guard on top but Lescott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mark postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Mark seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lescott looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lescott keeping moving, preventing Mark from controlling successfully.
Lescott not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mark stays in close to Lescott's body and controls the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Faye Mark wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lescott moves to clinch but Mark breaks away
and Mark makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Mark slips a jab and a cross from Lescott.
Mark tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lescott manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mark clinches with his opponent.

Mark manages to break the clinch.
Mark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mark swinging wildly here.
Mark throws a head kick that half lands.
No luck for Lescott with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lescott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lescott closes the distance and clinches up with Mark, looking for a takedown. Lescott pushes Mark against the cage but Mark circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lescott takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mark fails with an attempt to clinch.

Mark drives through and clinches with Lescott against the cage.

Mark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lescott paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mark connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mark is looking to clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No joy there for Mark, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lescott uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Mark.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Faye Mark showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Mark slaps away a takedown attempt from Lescott, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mark takes the fight into the clinch.
Mark is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lescott to keep the fight standing.
Mark tries to pull guard but Lescott holds him up against the cage and eventually Mark drops back down to his feet.

Lescott will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mark up against the cage.

Mark pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Lescott fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mark avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Lescott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lescott tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lescott somewhat.
Michael Lescott is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Mark misses with a double jab
and Lescott counters with a right hand to the body.
Lescott throws a lazy head kick
and Mark counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A punch combination from Mark misses.
Horrible takedown by Lescott or perhaps it was just good defense by Mark which made him look bad.
Mark fails in his attempt to clinch.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lescott. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Lescott keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Mark tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lescott swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mark will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mark takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lescott lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Lescott.
Lescott on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Lescott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mark tries to avoid it but Lescott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mark to the ground. Mark escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mark throws a series of punches but Lescott avoids them all with ease.
Mark throws a nice looking combination but Lescott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Mark moves in looking to clinch but Lescott pushes him off.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lescott scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mark is looking to improve his position.
Lescott is taking a breather. Mark says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Lescott is working for a kimura but Mark is defending it quite comfortably.
Lescott wants to pass to mount but Mark is defending the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lescott content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Mark wants to control but Lescott is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lescott not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Lescott performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Lescott wants to take a breather but Mark is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mark is trying to get back to full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Michael Lescott showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lescott has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
