Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Shears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beast Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shears's entrance music is Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. A fine choice. Rage comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm a Beast kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shears fails to land the takedown.
Rage steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shears.
Rage throws a lazy right hand but Shears sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Rage counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Shears had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rage defends it easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Shears ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rage moves away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shears uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shears fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rage sprawls well initially but Shears persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Shears is trying to control the action in half guard but Rage is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Billy Shears will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Shears shoots in and bounces Rage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Shears.
Well Shears has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
