Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Vronsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frederick Kromer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kromer has chosen Cold As Ice as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vronsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frederick Kromer!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vronsky avoids a kick to the body.
Vronsky showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kromer.
Vronsky takes one on the button.

Vronsky gets a double leg takedown into Kromer's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Vronsky looking to pass the guard.
Vronsky advances to half guard.

Vronsky is looking for a kimura here.
Kromer blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vronsky.

Vronsky postures up in Kromer's guard and throws a big left but Kromer blocks it.
Vronsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kromer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Vronsky trying to control the position from guard on top but Kromer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Vronsky wants to control from the top but Kromer keeps moving.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Vronsky in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kromer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kromer.
Kromer thumps Vronsky with a low kick.
Kromer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kromer wants it to stay on the feet.

Vronsky shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kromer is trying to defend but Vronsky finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kromer is trying to get back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kromer avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vronsky.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Vronsky dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Kromer feints and then cracks Vronsky's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vronsky down.
Kromer throws a leg kick but Vronsky checks it.
Kromer throws a body punch but Vronsky moves out of range.
Kromer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vronsky lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Vronsky takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Vronsky fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Kromer lands a nice leg kick that just misses Vronsky's sensitive parts.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vronsky bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Vronsky takes one to the chin there.
Vronsky moves out of range as Kromer throws a body kick.
Vronsky throws the left hand but Kromer avoids the punch easily.
Kromer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Vronsky has time to react.
Kromer lands a glancing blow to the side of Vronsky's head.
Kromer is looking to chop away at Vronsky's legs.
Kromer moves away from the strike by Vronsky.

Vronsky closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kromer to the mat! Kromer manages to get full guard.

Vronsky pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kromer is keeping the position for now.
Vronsky is fighting to break Kromer's control of his arms but Kromer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vronsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vronsky throws a strike but Kromer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Frederick Kromer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kromer throws a looping overhand right but Vronsky ducks down to avoid it.
Kromer throws a body punch but Vronsky moves out of range.
Kromer thows a body shot but no joy.
Vronsky checks a leg kick.
Frederick Kromer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kromer pushes Vronsky up against the ropes in a clinch.
Vronsky wants a takedown.
Kromer working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kromer misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kromer gets through Vronsky's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Vronsky is trying to break free.
Kromer swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kromer has a couple of punches blocked by Vronsky.
Kromer tries to stall but Vronsky uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kromer pushes Vronsky back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kromer misses with a punch to the body.
Kromer tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Vronsky wants a takedown but no success here.
Vronsky goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kromer prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Vronsky. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vronsky has hold of one of Kromer's legs. Kromer is fighting the takedown attempt but Vronsky gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Kromer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Vronsky throws an elbow that misses. Kromer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vronsky's guard. Nice move by Kromer!

Frederick Kromer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


A chopping leg kick lands by Kromer.
Frederick Kromer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vronsky swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kromer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kromer takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Vronsky lands a slapping body shot.
Kromer throws a leg kick that misses.
Vronsky fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Vronsky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kromer defends it nicely.
Vronsky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kromer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vronsky somewhat.
Kromer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kromer throws a front kick that sends Vronsky stumbling back into the ropes.
Frederick Kromer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Kromer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters circling - Vronsky throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kromer throws a nice outside leg kick.

Vronsky shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vronsky was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kromer tries to lock up and control but Vronsky gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kromer is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kromer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Vronsky throwing strikes here but Kromer is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Vronsky looking to finish Kromer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Kromer!
Kromer tries to hold on but Vronsky pushes him away.
Vronsky looking to land elbow strikes but Kromer uses the position to regain half guard.
Michael Vronsky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Vronsky is looking to advance position but Kromer won't allow it.

Vronsky working the head and body with strikes.
Vronsky misses with a head shot. Kromer uses the momentum to regain guard.
Vronsky keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kromer's head.
Kromer has control of Vronsky's left arm, preventing Vronsky from doing any damage.

Vronsky stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kromer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vronsky has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Vronsky wants to control from the top but Kromer keeps moving.
Vronsky looking to sit in guard and control but Kromer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kromer wanted to stand there but Vronsky had control of the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michael Vronsky.
I think Vronsky has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
