Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Slystarr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slystarr comes to the cage accompanied by Kool Savas - Tot oder Lebendig/Mona Lisa. Mark Slystarr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mark Slystarr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eric Rogers! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Slystarr sees it coming and avoids it easily. Slystarr shoots in but no luck this time. Slystarr takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Mark Slystarr has been cut. Slystarr connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Rogers lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Slystarr shoots in looking for a takedown but Rogers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Slystarr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rogers scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Slystarr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Slystarr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Slystarr thows a body shot but no joy. Rogers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rogers throws a series of punches but Slystarr moves out of range. Rogers throws a left and a right that both miss
and Slystarr counters with a nice double leg into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Slystarr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Slystarr drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Slystarr jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Slystarr passes Rogers's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rogers pushes Slystarr off looking to stand but Slystarr dives back in and keeps control.
Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slystarr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slystarr lands with a punch from half guard. Slystarr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Slystarr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rogers with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rogers is staying active underneath Slystarr, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Slystarr stops Rogers from getting back to his feet.
Slystarr thows a huge punch but Rogers dodges it nicely.
Slystarr lands strikes from half guard. Slystarr scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Rogers is in trouble now - Slystarr has advanced to mount! Rogers is trying to stand. Slystarr putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slystarr is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rogers can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slystarr with the ground and pound from mount. Slystarr with the ground and pound from mount.
Rogers is rocked! Slystarr is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Slystarr!
