Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tham Boon Yodsuwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hellson Ballswick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yodsuwan comes into the arena with LL Cool J - Mama' Said Knock You Out blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballswick doesn't manage to clinch there - Yodsuwan circles away.
Ballswick throws a sloppy head kick

and Yodsuwan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Yodsuwan.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ballswick looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Ballswick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yodsuwan is aware though and is defending well.

Yodsuwan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Ballswick closes the distance and clinches.

Yodsuwan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Yodsuwan tries to break the clinch but Ballswick is controlling the position.
Ballswick is trying to pull guard but Yodsuwan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Yodsuwan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Yodsuwan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ballswick is trying to defend but Yodsuwan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Yodsuwan escapes and gets back to his feet.

Ballswick throws a head kick that misses.

Ballswick gets a double leg takedown into Yodsuwan's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ballswick shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yodsuwan as he avoids it easily.

Ballswick wants to clinch up but Yodsuwan keeps it at a distance.

Yodsuwan wants to stand up but Ballswick is controlling him.
Ballswick tries to free his leg and advance position but Yodsuwan is retaining full guard.

Ballswick drops back looking for a leg! Yodsuwan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yodsuwan manages to kick Ballswick off! Ballswick jumps back into Yodsuwan's guard.

Yodsuwan pushes Ballswick off and scrambles back to his feet.

and Ballswick takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Ballswick throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yodsuwan.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ballswick looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ballswick cracks Yodsuwan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Yodsuwan has Ballswick up against the cage in a clinch.
Ballswick changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Yodsuwan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ballswick is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Yodsuwan.
Ballswick tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Yodsuwan counters with a takedown into side control.

Yodsuwan stands up and beckons Ballswick to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ballswick manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Yodsuwan on his heels. He'll look to pass Yodsuwan's guard now, I'm sure.
Ballswick passes Yodsuwan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ballswick wants to take a breather but Yodsuwan is having none of it.
Yodsuwan pushes Ballswick off looking to stand but Ballswick dives back in and keeps control.
Ballswick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yodsuwan keeps working.
Ballswick is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Yodsuwan pushes Ballswick off and gets back to his feet.
Ballswick tries to clinch but Yodsuwan moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Hellson Ballswick will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ballswick shoots and misses

and Yodsuwan counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Ballswick!

Ballswick stops Yodsuwan from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Yodsuwan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Ballswick to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Ballswick shrugs it off.

Ballswick wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Yodsuwan has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Ballswick taps furiously! This one is all over!
