The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hernandez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fitch.
Hernandez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Fitch backs up against the cage.

It looks like John Fitch has been cut.
Hernandez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

so Fitch counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hernandez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hernandez keeping moving, preventing Fitch from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hernandez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fitch got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hernandez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fitch has managed to get both his arms back between Hernandez's legs - danger averted.

Fitch sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Hernandez doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Fitch paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Hernandez - great work!
