Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rony Jaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuck Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rony Jaa!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Steel throws out the jab.
Steel keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Jaa throws a leg kick but Steel sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jaa misses with a head kick.
Steel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jaa.
Nice sprawl there from Jaa as Steel shoots in.
Steel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No joy there for Steel, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jaa throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Steel misses with a wild body shot.
Jaa throws a head kick that misses.
Steel is looking to land body kicks.
Jaa thumps Steel with a low kick.
Jaa checks a leg kick.
Steel tries to bum rush Jaa with a series of wild strikes but Jaa uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Steel lands with a thumping leg kick.
Steel throws a nice inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jaa tries a head kick but it misses.
Jaa throws a sloppy head kick and Steel moves out of range easily.

Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jaa.
Nice defenses there by Steel.
Jaa tried to score with a low kick but Steel checks it.
Steel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rony Jaa is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jaa swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Steel throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jaa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Rony Jaa has been cut.
Jaa throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Steel.

Jaa throws the left hand but Steel avoids the punch easily.
Steel scores with a body shot.
Steel fails to land with a series of punches.
Steel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jaa at a distance.
Chuck Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jaa can pounce on him.
Jaa avoids the head kick by Steel.

and Steel counters with a two punch combo.
Steel lands with a kick to the temple. Jaa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Steel lands a jab to the nose.
Jaa keeps the fight on the outside.
Steel is looking to wear down Jaa with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Steel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Jaa moves into the clinch.
Steel makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Steel breaks the clinch.
Steel throws a head kick but Jaa moves out of range.
Steel connects with a leg kick. Jaa looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Jaa throws a head kick but Steel moves out of range.
Steel lands with a kick to the ribs.
Steel keeps Jaa at a distance using the push kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Steel.
Steel lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steel.
Steel misses with a wild body shot.
Jaa wants to slow Steel down by chopping away at his legs.
Steel cracks Jaa with an open hand slap.
Steel throws a right and a left that Jaa avoids nicely.

Steel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Steel connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Jaa! He's out on his feet! Steel rushes in and drops Jaa with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chuck Steel!
