The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Fenomeno has his takedown stuffed
and Maynard counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
O Fenomeno tries for a takedown but Maynard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
O Fenomeno shoots and misses
and Maynard cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Karlos O Fenomeno. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Maynard counters with a single leg into guard. O Fenomeno didn't expect that.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Maynard is looking to defend but O Fenomeno has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Maynard! O Fenomeno pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Maynard taps out and this one is all over!
