Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andre Coutinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxell Gilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coutinho comes into the arena with They Don't Care About Us blaring out of the sound system. Maxell Gilbert is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maxell Gilbert!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coutinho fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gilbert sprawls well initially but Coutinho persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Coutinho is working for a kimura but Gilbert is defending it quite comfortably.
Coutinho is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gilbert looking for submissions off his back.
Gilbert has one foot on Coutinho's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Coutinho connects with a high kick.
Gilbert moves into the clinch successfully.
Gilbert manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gilbert working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coutinho doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coutinho manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Coutinho pushing down on Gilbert's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Coutinho tries to stand and escape but Gilbert is controlling the position.
Coutinho seems to be looking for submissions.
Gilbert misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Coutinho is keen to just control but Gilbert is a slippery customer.

Coutinho is breathing heavily.
Coutinho tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gilbert knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gilbert is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Coutinho pulls his head out easily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Coutinho closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gilbert is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Coutinho is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Coutinho thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gilbert regains half guard.
Coutinho has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gilbert defend it? Coutinho steps over the head and cranks it - Gilbert is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Coutinho!
