The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suarez looks for a takedown but Melo sprawls well.
Melo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suarez.
Suarez throws a lazy right hand but Melo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Suarez shoots for a takedown but Melo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Melo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Melo throws a leg kick which misses Suarez's front leg but catches the back leg as Suarez tries to avoid it.
Melo connects with a leg kick. Suarez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Suarez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Melo lands a jab to the head.
Suarez bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Melo shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Melo swats away the attempt to clinch by Suarez.

Melo attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Melo throws a head kick but Suarez moves out of range.
Melo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Melo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Suarez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Melo fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Suarez is out of range.
Suarez shoots for a double leg takedown but Melo sprawls well. He's pushed Suarez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Suarez tries to clinch up.

Melo connects with a body shot that sends Suarez's belly button to the back.
Melo gets tackled into the cage by Suarez. Suarez maintains the clinch.
Melo lands a left hand that snaps the head of Suarez backwards.
Melo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Suarez is looking to chop away at Melo's legs.
Suarez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Melo is looking to score with low kicks.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Melo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Suarez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Melo tries to hold on but Suarez postures up.
