Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jato Idrissa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Kelly! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly closes the distance and clinches. Kelly misses with an elbow strike.
Idrissa lands a hook that snaps the head of Kelly backwards. Idrissa working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Kelly tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Kelly misses with a short punch on the inside. Kelly working aggressively here.
Idrissa digs a right hand underneath Kelly's ribcage. Kelly let out a lung full of air as it connected. Kelly is trying to force a seperation but Idrissa has the dominant position. Idrissa goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Idrissa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Idrissa moves out of range of the strikes. Kelly pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Idrissa lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kelly at a distance.
Kelly cracks Idrissa with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Idrissa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Idrissa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Idrissa takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kelly has managed to clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Idrissa.
That's one minute gone in the round. A short left from Idrissa. Idrissa misses with a body punch.
Idrissa can't find room to land a body shot as Kelly controls the action.
Idrissa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kelly's elbow. Kelly taking a breather. Idrissa lands a nice shot to the body. Idrissa lands a hook to the side of the head. Kelly scores with a shoulder strike. Kelly wants to break free but Idrissa has control.
Kelly's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Kelly swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Kelly tries to stall but Idrissa uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Idrissa creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Kelly is rocked! Idrissa lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes. Kelly is still on wobbly legs! Can Idrissa finish him? Idrissa lands on the inside with an uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Idrissa lands a nice uppercut. Kelly stalling in the clinch but Idrissa improves position. Idrissa lands with a left to the head. Kelly working aggressively here.

Idrissa lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Idrissa creates a bit of distance and cracks Kelly with a big uppercut! Kelly goes down! The referee pushes Idrissa away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Kelly make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Idrissa takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jato Idrissa! After the fight, Jato Idrissa was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
