Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DJ Kolat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roddy Finnan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roddy Finnan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolat's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Kolat duly obliges.

It looks like Roddy Finnan has been cut.
Kolat takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kolat throws a left that rocks Finnan and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kolat dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Finnan regain composure!

Finnan is rocked!
Finnan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kolat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kolat is staying tight to Finnan's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Finnan is still in real trouble! Can Kolat finish him?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Finnan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kolat wants to control but Finnan is keeping him busy.
Finnan seems to have recovered his senses.

Kolat is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Finnan has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kolat throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Finnan stops Kolat from passing to mount.

Kolat tries for a kimura but Finnan is defending well.

Kolat working away.
Finnan is looking to regain half guard here but Kolat keeps moving and retains side control.
Kolat is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Finnan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Kolat has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Finnan throws a left and a right that both miss

and Kolat decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Finnan's guard.
Finnan looks gassed!
Kolat won't allow Finnan to sweep him here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kolat's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kolat throwing strikes from guard but Finnan blocks nicely.
Kolat sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Finnan's guard.
Kolat trying to control the action but Finnan is working from the bottom.
Kolat slows the pace down in half guard.
Kolat passes to full mount!
Kolat with shots to the head and body - Finnan looks very uncomfortable down there.

Kolat landing shots from mount.
Kolat is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Finnan is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Finnan keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Finnan tries to lock up and control but Kolat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Finnan wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
BOOM! Kolat connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Finnan is just holding on here. Kolat manages to take his back.
Finnan is really stuck here.
Finnan trying to control the hands but Kolat breaks the grip.
Finnan trying to get back to his feet but Kolat is in full control for now.
Kolat lands a shot to the body.

Finnan won't enjoy being in this position. Kolat looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Finnan is tapping - it's over boys! Kolat picks up the submission victory!
