Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yamata Orochi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Vanhorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanhorn has chosen Cult of Personality as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanhorn fails with a takedown attempt.
Orochi fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Vanhorn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Orochi defends it nicely.
Orochi dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Vanhorn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Yamata Orochi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lex Vanhorn.

Orochi closes the distance and clinches.

Orochi breaks the clinch.
Orochi feints and then cracks Vanhorn's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vanhorn down.
Vanhorn fails to land the takedown.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vanhorn looks gassed!
Orochi lands a nice shot to the body.
Vanhorn steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Orochi. That one must have hurt.
Orochi throws a quick inside leg kick.
Vanhorn takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Orochi throws a right hand that Vanhorn ducks under and follows up with a left that Vanhorn also avoids with ease.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Vanhorn takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Orochi buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Orochi lands a nice leg kick that just misses Vanhorn's sensitive parts.

Orochi lands a big head kick that sends Vanhorn tumbling to the mat! Orochi takes a step backwards and waves Vanhorn back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Lex Vanhorn has been cut.

Vanhorn is trying desperately to land a takedown but Orochi is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Vanhorn.
Vanhorn sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Orochi connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Vanhorn tumbling to the canvas! Orochi pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Vanhorn was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Yamata Orochi!
