Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samson Miodek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukasz Rudnicki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lukasz Rudnicki will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rudnicki tries to close the distance and clinch but Miodek swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rudnicki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Miodek counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Miodek throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Miodek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Miodek moves into the clinch.

Miodek has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rudnicki regains guard immediately.

Rudnicki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Miodek defends well.
Miodek seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lukasz Rudnicki's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
