Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Clem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Red Rum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Clem might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Symphony X- . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bubba Clem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Red Rum!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clem throws a leg kick which misses Rum's front leg but catches the back leg as Rum tries to avoid it.
Clem is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rum.
Rum misses with a wild body shot.
An inside leg kick from Clem misses.
Rum checks a leg kick.
Rum throws a low kick, looking for Clem's leg but Clem calmly moves out of range.
Rum walks into a straight right hand from Clem.
Rum takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Clem connects with a solid leg kick.
Clem looking to score a takedown here. Rum is defending well but Clem drives through and ends up in Rum's guard.

Rum has momentary wrist control but Clem slips an elbow through the middle.
Rum wants to sweep but no luck.

Clem will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Clem counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rum lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rum uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Clem.
Clem is looking to wear down Rum with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Good leg kick by Clem there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Clem.

Clem shoots in for a takedown but Rum shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Rum closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Clem fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rum.
Clem ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That kick from Clem tenderised Rum's leg. Rum is trying to keep his angry face on.

Clem feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rum's calf.
Clem throws a head kick that Rum semi-blocks.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rum darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Clem decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Bubba Clem overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Clem working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rum is breathing heavily.
Clem thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Clem is trying to control the action in half guard but Rum is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Clem thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rum's head.
Rum wants to control but Clem is keeping busy.

Rum is staying active underneath Clem, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Clem tries to clinch but Rum moves out of range.
Rum on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Clem swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rum.

Clem connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Rum pushes Clem back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Clem drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rum connects with a nasty looking knee right to Clem's face.
Clem is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rum can't fight it off and eventually Clem manages to take the fight to the floor. Rum looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
