Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Caparas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riel Dan Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Danilo Caparas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Riel Dan Reyes! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caparas lands with a nice body punch. Reyes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Caparas tries to avoid it but Reyes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Caparas to the ground. Caparas escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A chopping leg kick lands by Caparas. Reyes throws a body punch but Caparas moves out of range. Caparas looks to throw the jab but Reyes is out of range. Reyes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Caparas's guard. Caparas pulls Reyes in to control the position. Reyes wants to control from the top but Caparas keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reyes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Caparas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Reyes is aware though and is defending well. Reyes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Caparas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reyes landing with the ground and pound.

Reyes swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Caparas. Caparas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A slow jab from Reyes misses its intended target. Reyes swings and misses with a shot to the body and Caparas counters with a flying knee. Nice. Reyes misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Caparas.
Caparas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Caparas wants it to stay on the feet. Caparas throws a sloppy head kick and Reyes moves out of range easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caparas tries to work over Reyes's front leg with a kick but Reyes checks it. Caparas blocks a jab. Riel Dan Reyes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reyes misses with a body kick. Caparas swings away with a leg kick that misses. Reyes shoots in looking for a takedown. Caparas tries to sprawl out of it but Reyes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Caparas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Reyes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reyes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Reyes misses with a wild combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Caparas stuffs the takedown. Danilo Caparas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Riel Dan Reyes. Reyes misses with a body shot.

and Caparas counters with a good low kick that Reyes was not able to check. Caparas slips under a jab. Caparas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Reyes misses with a straight right. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Caparas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Reyes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Reyes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Reyes misses with an uppercut. Caparas saw that one coming. Reyes checks a leg kick. Reyes throws a looping overhand right but Caparas ducks down to avoid it. Reyes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Caparas to the mat! Caparas manages to get full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Reyes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Caparas is keeping the position for now.

Caparas stuns Reyes with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Reyes tries to land a front kick but Caparas steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Caparas dodges the punch combination from Reyes.

He's pushed Reyes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Reyes doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. It looks like Riel Dan Reyes has been cut. Caparas lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Reyes missing with a left hand there. Caparas was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Caparas moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Danilo Caparas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Reyes throws a body punch but Caparas moves out of range. Reyes swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Caparas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Caparas looks to land a body kick but Reyes moved away. Caparas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reyes. Caparas uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Reyes. Reyes avoids a punch combination nicely.
Riel Dan Reyes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Reyes checks the leg kick. Reyes shoots in for a takedown but Caparas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Reyes is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Caparas rather than just go for the knockout. Reyes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Caparas manages to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Reyes on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Caparas, right into the meat.

And that's the end of the fight! Danilo Caparas showed his dominance in that final round. I think Reyes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
