0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chase Holub! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demetryos Alves! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Holub tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Alves is in Holub's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Alves postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Holub is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alves, into his guard. Holub wants to stand but Alves is controlling his posture from full guard. Holub has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Holub trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Holub is posturing up here but Alves has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Holub tries to roll out but it's too tight and Holub has to tap! Slick submission there by Alves!
