Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sergiy Sklyar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meat Loaf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sklyar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Scarface - No Tears. Loaf comes into a darkened arena with his song building. War is my destiny kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sergiy Sklyar!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Meat Loaf!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sklyar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sklyar throws a right hand that Loaf ducks under and follows up with a left that Loaf also avoids with ease.
Sklyar misses with a looping left.
Sklyar is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Loaf.

Loaf gets caught flat footed, as Sklyar shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Loaf looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Loaf lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sklyar!
Loaf postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sklyar looks a forlorn figure.

Loaf is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sklyar has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sklyar!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Loaf walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sklyar.

Loaf closes the distance and clinches up with Sklyar, looking for a takedown. Loaf pushes Sklyar against the cage but Sklyar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Loaf takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sergiy Sklyar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Meat Loaf.

Sklyar fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Loaf has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Loaf pushes Sklyar off looking to stand but Sklyar dives back in and keeps control.

Loaf takes one to the side of the head.
Loaf chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sklyar can pounce on him.
Loaf cracks a nice hook into Sklyar's ribs.

Sklyar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Loaf tries to avoid it but Sklyar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Loaf to the ground. Loaf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sklyar is trying to drag Loaf to the mat but Loaf just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Loaf has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sklyar clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Sergiy Sklyar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Loaf really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Sklyar.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Loaf's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sklyar accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Sklyar is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Loaf is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Meat Loaf hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

I think Sklyar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
