Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helder Ninja Passos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esteban Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ninja Passos might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Uppercut-2Pac. Alvarez has chosen Eminem - Not Afraid as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Esteban Alvarez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ninja Passos tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Alvarez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ninja Passos pulls Alvarez in close to prevent any damage.

Alvarez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alvarez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ninja Passos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alvarez is controlling him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Helder Ninja Passos wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Ninja Passos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Alvarez is trying to defend but Ninja Passos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
