The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John throws a hook but McFadden blocks it.
McFadden misses with a two punch combination.
McFadden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts John as he jumps to the side.
John missing with a left hand there. McFadden was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
John throws a hook but McFadden avoids it easily.
John lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
John fails to land with a series of punches.
McFadden uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from John.
McFadden blocks a jab.
McFadden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

McFadden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
McFadden lands a nice shot to the head.

It looks like Boxer John has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A nice elbow there by McFadden.

Boxer John's cut is getting worse.
The referee warns John that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Boxer John's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Boxer John's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
