Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Boris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Lopes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bill Boris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Orlando Lopes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boris lands a big right hand that sends Lopes crashing to the mat! Boris stays standing though and waves Lopes back to his feet!


It looks like Orlando Lopes has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boris closes the distance but Lopes moves to the side

and Lopes counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Boris!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Boris takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Boris working to try and regain half guard.
Lopes throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Lopes goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Boris is on top in guard.
Boris trying to control but Lopes is working from the bottom.
Boris working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Boris stands up and waves to Lopes to follow him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boris jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Boris wants to clinch up but Lopes keeps it at a distance.
Boris lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lopes at a distance.
Boris misses with a takedown

so Lopes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boris avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Lopes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Lopes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Boris, up you get!
Boris tries to clinch up but Lopes circles away and keeps his distance.
Bill Boris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lopes shoots for a double leg takedown but Boris sprawls well. He's pushed Lopes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Boris misses with a wild combination.
Boris leaves Lopes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Lopes looks gassed!
Lopes fails with the takedown
and Boris connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bill Boris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Orlando Lopes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boris lands with a nice body punch.

Boris is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lopes's half guard.

Boris is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lopes defends it well.

Boris is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lopes sees it coming and defends easily.
Lopes is looking to control Boris's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lopes avoid being mounted?

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boris wants to stand up but Lopes has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Lopes is defending against the submission attempts here by Boris.

Boris is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lopes is just riding it out for now. Boris eventually gives up the hold.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lopes can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lopes trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boris trying to pass the guard but Lopes defending well.
Lopes controlling the position for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bill Boris dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Orlando Lopes's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Lopes drops his hands momentarily and Boris takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Orlando Lopes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Lopes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boris as he avoids it easily.
Lopes misses with an uppercut.
Lopes missing with a left hand there. Boris was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Boris connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Boris feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lopes sprawling to the canvas! Lopes rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Boris finish him?!


Lopes is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boris gets a big slam - oh, Lopes is out! Lopes is out! That's a nasty KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Bill Boris!
