Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lugvig Borga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Richard Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries. Cain Slyker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lugvig Borga's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cain Slyker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lugvig Borga! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slyker pinned against the cage. Slyker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Slyker throws a leg kick but Borga checks it. Borga takes one to the side of the head.
Borga shoots in and drives through. Slyker sprawls well. Slyker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Borga shoots in but Slyker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Cain Slyker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lugvig Borga. Slyker shoots in and bounces Borga off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Borga working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Slyker. Slyker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Slyker with a flurry of punches that miss. Slyker throws a big right hand that misses. Borga not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round. Borga wants to sweep here but Slyker controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Borga looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Slyker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Borga is squirming around, avoiding Slyker's attempts to control the action. Slyker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Slyker lands a nice shot to the head. Slyker lands with some strikes. Slyker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Borga looks gassed! Slyker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borga wants to hold on but Slyker pushes him away. Slyker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Slyker has hold of Borga's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Borga manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Slyker lands with some strikes. Borga is squirming around, avoiding Slyker's attempts to control the action. Slyker unloading with bombs! Slyker lands a big shot there that rocks Borga but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Slyker tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Slyker has control of Borga's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Borga regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slyker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Borga's face.
Slyker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Borga is looking to escape. Slyker controlling from the full mount. Borga working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Borga is wriggling around trying to escape.
Slyker pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Slyker misses with a head shot. Borga is squirming around, avoiding Slyker's attempts to control the action. Borga tries to hold on but Slyker postures up. Borga is wriggling around trying to escape.
Slyker breaks from Borga's wrist control and lands an elbow. Borga regains half guard. Slyker lands strikes from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slyker is thwarting Borga's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Slyker dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fighters circling - Slyker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Slyker instigates a clinch. Borga ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Borga no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slyker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Slyker passes Borga's left leg - he's now in half guard. Slyker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Borga keeps working. Borga is looking to improve his position.
Borga is not content to let Slyker control the position. Slyker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Borga is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Slyker perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borga is trying to maintain the position but Slyker is very close to passing his half guard. Slyker wants to control but Borga is keeping him busy.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Cain Slyker just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Slyker tries to close the distance and clinch but Borga swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Slyker tries to bum rush Borga with a series of wild strikes but Borga uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Slyker gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borga is not content to let Slyker control the position. Borga wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Slyker in side control, just content to control the action for now. Borga is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Slyker throws a strike aimed at the side of Borga's head but Borga avoids it well. Borga is breathing heavily. Slyker tries to advance position but instead Borga slips a leg back in to half guard. Slyker wants to pass the guard but Borga is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slyker not landing any meaningful shots this time. Slyker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Borga tries to get to full guard but Slyker has control of the leg. Slyker throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Slyker missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Slyker looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Borga with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Slyker slows the pace down in half guard. Slyker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Slyker passes to full mount! Slyker lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Borga wants to control but Slyker is having none of it. Slyker punishing his opponent with strikes. Slyker controlling from mount. Slyker throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Slyker prevents Borga from getting the reversal. Borga is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Borga sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Slyker dominated that second round. That's time! Slyker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Slyker gets a takedown into half guard. Borga wants to control but Slyker is keeping busy and won't allow it. Borga blocking the ground and pound attempt from Slyker. Well, if Slyker is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Borga is refusing to be controlled, as Slyker sits in half guard. Borga trying to hold on to Slyker's head to control him but Slyker postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slyker is trying to control the action in half guard but Borga is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Borga lands a lovely overhand right. Borga fails with the takedown and Slyker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Slyker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Slyker misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Borga can't do much from the bottom here. Borga takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Borga is trying to improve his position. Slyker fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Slyker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Borga down.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Slyker working the ground and pound. Borga is trying to control Slyker's posture but Slyker avoids it. Cain Slyker overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Slyker lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Borga down.

Slyker in side control lands a decent elbow. Slyker is working Borga over with some ground and pound from side control. Borga wants to get back to his feet. Borga is trying to control Slyker's posture but Slyker avoids it. Slyker is looking to take a break and control but Borga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Borga can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Borga manages to get back to half guard. Borga trying to control from the bottom.
Borga tries to get to full guard but Slyker has control of the leg. Slyker throwing shots but Borga is blocking nicely.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Borga avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cain Slyker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Borga fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Borga tries for a takedown but Slyker circles away easily and Slyker counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Slyker trying to control the pace. Slyker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slyker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Borga is just riding it out for now. Slyker eventually gives up the hold. Slyker is looking for a kimura here.
And that's the end of the fight! Cain Slyker showed his dominance in that final round. Well Slyker has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
