Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Silva on the side of the head.
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Santos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Santos moves into the clinch.

Santos is fighting off a takedown attempt but Silva is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Santos to the mat. Santos regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Santos lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Silva!

Santos takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Silva bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Santos is pulling down on Silva's head. It's preventing any offense from Silva, at least for the moment.

Silva keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Santos's head.
Santos controls Silva momentarily but Silva frees himself.

Silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Silva seems to have locked his on tight now - Santos screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Silva, as he picks up the win!
