Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Pelano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith gets tackled into the cage by Pelano. Pelano maintains the clinch.
Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pelano just stands there and leans against the cage.
Smith's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pelano tries to close the distance and clinch up but Smith swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pelano moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Pelano misses with a two punch combination.
Smith avoids the head kick by Pelano.
Pelano keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pelano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pelano has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment.

Pelano throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.

Smith will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Nice takedown defense from Pelano. No joy for Smith on that attempt.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Pelano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Pelano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Smith checks a leg kick.

Pelano lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pelano.

Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Pelano tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pelano manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Paul Smith will probably get the nod.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Smith jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pelano manages to avoid the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pelano swivels and escapes.
Pelano pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Smith back to the cage. Pelano follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Pelano sizes up Smith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hector Pelano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Pelano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
