Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Marx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stryker has chosen Die Motherfucker Die as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Charles Stryker was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 13 - 3, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Marx! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Stryker! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.

Marx misses the shot to the body. Stryker throws a sloppy head kick and Marx moves out of range easily. Marx fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stryker has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Marx misses the jab. Marx throws a lazy head kick and Stryker counters with a left and a right that stings Marx. Stryker tries to close the distance and clinch but Marx swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A big left from Stryker misses. Marx throws a head kick that half lands.
Stryker is looking to clinch but Marx is avoiding it.
Marx takes a shot right to the bread basket. This has been an exciting period of action!
Stryker scores with a takedown into Marx's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Stryker postures up in Marx's guard and throws a big left but Marx blocks it.

Marx wants to stand up but Stryker is controlling him. Marx looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Stryker postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stryker trying to control but Marx is working from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Marx holds on and takes a little breather.

Marx lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Marx blocks a low kick nicely. Stryker throws a sloppy head kick and Marx moves out of range easily. Stryker connects with a good right hand that stumbles Marx. Marx circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Marx throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stryker's waist but Stryker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marx off to one side. This has been an exciting period of action! Stryker throws a leg kick that misses. Marx sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Marx. A leg kick checked by Marx. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stryker checks a leg kick.
Marx shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Stryker napping and manages to drive through into side control! Marx working away. Marx creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Stryker sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Sloppy strikes there by Marx. Stryker struggling a bit here.

Marx is looking to take a break and control but Stryker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Marx tries to score with some ground and pound. Stryker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Marx tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marx has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Stryker wants to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stryker is trying to control Marx's posture but Marx avoids it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Stryker dominated that round. That's time! Marx's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A head kick misses from Marx. Marx throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Stryker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Marx throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stryker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Marx is in Stryker's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stryker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marx. Stryker trying to keep a closed guard but Marx is proving a slippery customer.
Marx preventing the sweep. Stryker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Marx wants to control from the top but Stryker keeps moving.

Marx has closed the distance and engaged Stryker in a clinch.

Marx has picked Stryker up - he's going for a ride! Marx dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Stryker wants to control but Marx is keeping busy.
Marx takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Stryker is refusing to be controlled, as Marx sits in half guard. Marx missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Marx is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Marx thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Stryker is trying to stand.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Marx winds up and cracks Stryker with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stryker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Marx with the ground and pound but Stryker uses the opportunity to regain guard. Marx throws an elbow that misses. Stryker uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Marx's guard. Nice move by Stryker! Marx is looking to stand back up but Stryker counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Marx. Marx might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stryker is looking to pass Marx's guard but actually Marx recovers to full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marx is trying to control the position but Stryker postures up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stryker won't allow Marx to sweep him here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Marx dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Stryker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Marx checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Marx lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Stryker tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Marx will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Marx is looking to slow Stryker down with leg kicks. Stryker throws a shot from downtown. Marx moves away and avoids it. Marx shoots in and drives through. Stryker sprawls well. Marx checks a leg kick nicely. Marx misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marx leaves Stryker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Marx swats away the attempt to clinch by Stryker.

Good work by Marx as he checks the leg kick. Marx uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stryker. Charles Stryker seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stryker misses with a head kick.
Stryker is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Marx takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Stryker misses with a jab to the body
and Marx counters with a single leg into guard. Stryker didn't expect that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marx wants to control from the top but Stryker keeps moving. Mark Marx overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Marx works his foot free and advances to mount. Stryker really wants to buck Marx off and get back to his feet.

Marx throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Marx trying to control but Stryker is having none of it. Marx connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Stryker's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Stryker taking shots to the head. Stryker is trying to stand. Stryker is trying to escape the mount.
Marx trying to control but Stryker is having none of it. Stryker really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stryker bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Marx showed his dominance in that final round. I think Marx has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
