Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Azevedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azevedo comes to the ring accompanied by I'm a Soldier, I'm a Fighter. Creed has chosen Apollo Creed, Deck of Jack as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Azevedo.
Creed throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nice straight punches there by Creed. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Creed.
Azevedo feints and then cracks Creed's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Creed down.
Azevedo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Creed.
Creed lunges at Azevedo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Azevedo's hand.
Creed cracks Azevedo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

and Creed moves into the clinch.
Creed misses with the head strike.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Azevedo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Creed misses the shot to the body.
Creed swings for the body but Azevedo moves out of range.

That kick from Azevedo tenderised Creed's leg. Creed is trying to keep his angry face on.

Creed throws a left and a right that both miss
and Azevedo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Creed can do anything to dispel that myth.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Azevedo is stalling in the full guard.

Creed is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Azevedo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Creed connects with a body shot that sends Azevedo's belly button to the back.
Azevedo swings for the body but Creed moves out of range.

Azevedo fails with a takedown attempt.

Creed throws out a loose jab but Azevedo uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Azevedo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Creed misses with an uppercut
and Azevedo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Good work by Creed as he checks the leg kick.

Azevedo throws a big shot that misses.
Creed avoids a kick to the body.
Azevedo scores with a jab. Creed acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Azevedo throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Azevedo shoots in but no luck this time.

Creed with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Azevedo to score with a decent uppercut.
Azevedo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Creed.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Azevedo clinches up against the ropes.
Creed has Azevedo pressed against the ropes, preventing Azevedo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Azevedo misses with a punch to the body.
Azevedo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hugo Azevedo dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Apollo Creed's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Creed takes one to the side of the head.
Creed just misses with a punch to the body.
Azevedo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Creed napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Creed is trying to get back to half guard.
Azevedo has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Creed is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Azevedo yanks on the arm and Creed is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Azevedo.
