Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elijah Paris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Forrest Gryphen!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paris gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Gryphen counters with a good low kick that Paris was not able to check.

Gryphen has closed the distance and engaged Paris in a clinch.
Gryphen avoiding damage.
Gryphen landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Paris is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gryphen is defending well.
Paris jumps guard but Gryphen stands there with Paris around his waist. Paris gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elijah Paris. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gryphen is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Gryphen lands an elbow inside.


It looks like Elijah Paris has been cut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Gryphen.

Paris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gryphen smiles and moves away.

Gryphen is looking to slow Paris down with leg kicks.
Gryphen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Paris.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Gryphen lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gryphen lands a damaging elbow.


Elijah Paris's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Gryphen lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


Jeez, Elijah Paris's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Gryphen crunches a lovely knee into Paris's ribcage.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Gryphen obliges.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Elijah Paris's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Forrest Gryphen!
Forrest Gryphen decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
