Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Trudeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luke Summers will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacques Trudeau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Luke Summers! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trudeau shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Summers defends it nicely. Trudeau shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Summers throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Summers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Summers misses with a low kick as Trudeau jumps back. Summers throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Trudeau counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Summers working for a triangle but Trudeau defends it easily.
Trudeau is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. This has been an exciting period of action! Trudeau landing some decent shots from guard. Summers keeping moving, preventing Trudeau from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Trudeau feints and as Summers raises his hands in defense, Trudeau changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Trudeau postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Trudeau passes Summers's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Trudeau blocks the strikes from Summers.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Summers wants to control but Trudeau is keeping busy.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

And that's the end of the fight! Luke Summers comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Summers has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
