Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between el Steveo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryo Ishizaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishizaki is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Captain Tsubasa. Ryo Ishizaki is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Steveo counters with a three punch combo that has Ishizaki backing up. Ishizaki nods at Steveo to acknowledge the strikes.
Ishizaki shoots in and drives through. Steveo sprawls well.
Ishizaki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steveo's waist but Steveo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ishizaki off to one side.

Steveo scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Steveo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Ishizaki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ishizaki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Steveo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ishizaki asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to el Steveo.
I think Steveo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
