Norton comes to the cage accompanied by Amon Amarth - Cry of the Blackbirds. Vega has chosen Skindred - Rat Race as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jim Norton could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Andrey Vega's chin.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vega comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Norton fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Norton takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Vega misses with a two punch combination.
Norton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Vega counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Vega counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Vega bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Norton's head backwards.
Norton takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Norton takes a jab right on the kisser.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nice takedown defense from Vega. No joy for Norton on that attempt.

Vega rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Norton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It looks like Jim Norton has been cut.
Jim Norton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Norton shoots and misses
and Vega connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Norton is breathing heavily.
Norton shoots in for a takedown but Vega shows good takedown defense.
Vega stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vega wants it to stay on the feet.
Norton moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

No joy there for Vega, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vega lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Norton is rocked!
Vega connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Norton tumbling to the canvas! Vega pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Norton was done - good stoppage!
