The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Runkman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Halonen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Runkman.
Runkman is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Halonen rather than just go for the knockout.

Halonen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Runkman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Halonen waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Runkman. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Runkman to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Onanias Runkman has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Halonen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Halonen cracks Runkman with a solid left hand.
Runkman is breathing heavily.
Halonen distracts Runkman with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Halonen stands up over Runkman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Runkman is still in real trouble! Can Halonen finish him?

Runkman seems to have recovered his senses.
Halonen is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Halonen stands up over Runkman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Halonen postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Runkman covers up, he's hurt! Halonen keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Halonen and the ref steps in to end the fight! Halonen can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
