Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, CJ Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Francis Vinci!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Vinci is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard.
Vinci wants to stand but Smith has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Smith is staying active underneath Vinci, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Vinci sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Smith defending well though.
Vinci is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Smith manages to get to full guard.
Vinci loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Vinci really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
