The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frank looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sockem is fending him off so far but Frank persists. Nope, Sockem circles away and we're back to standing.
Frank fails with a takedown attempt.
Sockem throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Frank moves into the clinch successfully.
Frank is trying to break the clinch but Sockem has him pressed against the cage.

Sockem has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sockem decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Frank, up you get!
Frank connects with the punch.
Frank is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sloppy strikes from Sockem. Those never looked like landing.
Sockem keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Frank looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sockem drops Frank with a right and a left! Sockem comes rushing in but Frank regains his composure and manages to keep Sockem in guard.
Frank is rocked!
It looks like Jason Frank has been cut.
Sockem postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Frank covers up, he's hurt! Sockem keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Sockem and the ref steps in to end the fight! Sockem can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rockem Sockem!
