1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Taylor! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Taylor does no damage. Vasilyevich works Taylor's body with a nice hook. Vasilyevich looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nice shot lands for Vasilyevich. Taylor drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Taylor throws a strike aimed at the side of Vasilyevich's head but Vasilyevich avoids it well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vasilyevich wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Vasilyevich knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground. Vasilyevich dodges the ground and pound from Taylor. Taylor trying to control the position but Vasilyevich is working away.

Taylor avoids the strikes from the bottom by Vasilyevich. Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Vasilyevich is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vasilyevich is looking for a sweep. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vasilyevich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Taylor moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Taylor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vasilyevich as he jumps to the side. Vasilyevich tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taylor was well out of range. Poor timing from Vasilyevich.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Taylor sitting and controlling from the half guard. Vasilyevich wants to improve his position but Taylor is controlling well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Taylor is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ivan Vasilyevich will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Luke Taylor's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Vasilyevich throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Vasilyevich looks to land a combination but Taylor avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Taylor pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vasilyevich is keeping the position for now. The ref stands the fighters back up. Luke Taylor was stalling too much, according to the referee. Vasilyevich throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Taylor stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Vasilyevich throws a nice looking combination but Taylor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Taylor shoots in but Vasilyevich avoids the takedown attempt easily. Taylor takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Taylor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vasilyevich is fending him off so far but Taylor persists. Nope, Vasilyevich circles away and we're back to standing. Ivan Vasilyevich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Taylor. Vasilyevich throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vasilyevich tries to keep at a distance but Taylor has taken the fight into the clinch. Taylor tries to score a body lock takedown but Vasilyevich shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Taylor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Taylor has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
