Munson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Showdown. Ares has chosen r this town i 101 as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ares moves into the clinch successfully.
Munson with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Ares lands a body shot in the clinch.
Munson tries to land knees in the clinch but Ares avoids the damage to the body.
Munson takes a shot to the head.
Ares lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Munson is trying to force a seperation but Ares has the dominant position.
Ares has a couple of punches blocked by Munson.
Ares drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Munson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Munson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Ares's defenses.

It looks like Solomon Ares has been cut.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Ares is working for takedown but Munson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Ares lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Solomon Ares hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ares gets a clinch.
Ares avoiding damage.
Munson lands a right hand.
Munson throws an elbow but it misses.
Munson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ares blocks a body shot from Munson.

Ares gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Munson is looking to stand up but Ares isn't so interested in that idea.
Munson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ares controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Munson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ares.

and Munson counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Ares out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Munson is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
