Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Behrend (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshihiro Mishisarwa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Behrend! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yoshihiro Mishisarwa! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Behrend clinches with his opponent.
Behrend drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mishisarwa gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Behrend keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Mishisarwa's efforts to push away. Mishisarwa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mishisarwa tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A slow jab from Behrend misses its intended target. Behrend shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mishisarwa's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Behrend keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mishisarwa's head. Behrend chips away with some ground and pound. Behrend distracts Mishisarwa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mishisarwa is looking for a triangle but Behrend pushes his legs off easily.
Behrend throws a big right hand that misses. Behrend postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Behrend prevents Mishisarwa from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mishisarwa has momentary wrist control but Behrend slips an elbow through the middle. Mishisarwa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Behrend. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Behrend works over Mishisarwa with some ground and pound from guard. Behrend cracks Mishisarwa with a solid left hand.
Mishisarwa is rocked! Behrend gets to his feet - Mishisarwa follows without any prompting. Mishisarwa is still on wobbly legs! Can Behrend finish him? Behrend gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mishisarwa to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mishisarwa seems to have recovered his senses. Mishisarwa looks gassed! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Behrend kicks Mishisarwa off and gets to his feet. Behrend scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Behrend working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Behrend is nestled in close to Mishisarwa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Behrend stands up and beckons Mishisarwa to join him on the feet. Behrend swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Behrend darts in and clinches Mishisarwa up against the cage.

Mishisarwa looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Mishisarwa tries to roll over but Behrend keeps him under control. Behrend slips a nice elbow through Mishisarwa's hands, connecting with Mishisarwa's forehead. Behrend lands strikes from half guard. Behrend landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Behrend stands up and beckons Mishisarwa to join him on the feet. Behrend tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Behrend gets in close and instigates a clinch. Behrend breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mishisarwa has hold of Behrend's hands but Behrend slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mishisarwa is looking to control Behrend's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mishisarwa avoid being mounted? Mishisarwa is looking to escape. Behrend landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Matheus Behrend overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Behrend tightens his grip and picks Mishisarwa up, before dumping him to the ground. Mishisarwa manages to land in guard. Behrend distracts Mishisarwa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Behrend keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Mishisarwa's head. Mishisarwa is working to avoid the ground and pound but Behrend connects with a decent elbow. Behrend looks up at the clock and then as Mishisarwa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Behrend smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Behrend grinds an elbow into Mishisarwa's temple. Behrend working the head with strikes. Behrend lands a decent elbow from side control. Mishisarwa tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Behrend wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Mishisarwa is trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Behrend working the ground and pound. Behrend working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Behrend lands a decent elbow from side control. Behrend lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mishisarwa down.
Behrend is putting a hurting on Mishisarwa here, landing some big shots from side control. Mishisarwa tries to get back to half guard but can't. Behrend scoring with punches and elbows. Behrend has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Behrend looks up at the clock and then as Mishisarwa takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Behrend smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Mishisarwa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Behrend throws a head kick that misses. Mishisarwa drives through with a takedown into guard. Behrend doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Behrend keeping moving, preventing Mishisarwa from controlling successfully. Mishisarwa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Behrend is keeping the position for now. Behrend lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mishisarwa! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mishisarwa is bucking up trying to escape but Behrend cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Behrend prevents Mishisarwa from getting the reversal.
