Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cody Mckenzie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tricolor Paulista!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paulista shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mckenzie's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Paulista passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Paulista cracks Mckenzie with a big elbow.
Paulista trying to control the position but Mckenzie is working away.
The ground and pound from Paulista seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Mckenzie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Paulista manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mckenzie has Paulista in his guard.

Mckenzie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's time! Mckenzie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Paulista throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mckenzie's waist but Mckenzie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paulista off to one side.
Tricolor Paulista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mckenzie shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Paulista manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well Paulista has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
